Also, injuring a Non-Com when she has to lead her platoon is a bit too, oh, I dunno, idiotic when in the prescence of a Captain wouldn't you think? Definately not promotion worthy Lieutenant. Not at all." the Captain replies. Nick knew the regulations punishment for such behavior.
"Speaking of which, I do beleive we have a platoon scrimmage in a days."

He says snapping the twig and walking past him before pausing at his shoulder and whispered,"Plus you can't prove anything. She wouldn't /dare/ speak against me. Nick clenched his jaw before unclenching,"I'll prove I could almost kill her and she'll be fit for duty. Congratulations, you just made her life hell." He retorts with a snort,"Puhlease- you couldn't even keep your girlfriend from forgetting you. His hard could it be to hit your platoon so hard they forgot what they were doing." He says stalking off.

Later that night Catherine gingerly dressed herself into a casual blue blouse and jeans. She stood in the mirror before deciding she should wear a long sleeved blouse to cover her newly stained bruises on her arms. She momentarily worried about the distinctive finger grip like bruises on her neck before styling her hsir in a way that covers her black eye and bruised left cheek only exposing her undamaged rightside. She had did something bad...she didn't know what,"Catherine!"
Nick snaps and she huries out to him. He glances her over only a faint scent of blood was on her. She covered herself well. He reached for her and she flinched. He liked that. He grabbed her hair pulling her closer and loosening his grip and gingerly caresses her briuses on her face he kissed her bruises tenderly and she relaxes a bit. He whispered soothing words and said,"Now- you just had a rough training session." He says that was her story but nobody should ask... Hopefully. He replaced her hai over her face and escorted her to the party. She stood by the punch table quietly. 3 hours later h
She watched as he got drunk with his friends knowing what she'd go home too...a drunk abusive man. Still she stood in the same place as she was told.

The Captain watches the festivities with a detached interest, spotting the Master Sergeant and 1st Lieutenant almost right away. His knowing eye can track where bruises, recent ones at that, had been attempting to heal themselves. His body literally shudders with rage as he notices the number of bruises there were. He could count up to around 20 of them. Most of them were slight, near imperceptible aberrations. Most anyone else wouldn't notice. Others were fairly noticeable, and he could tell they'd been covered with makeup of some kind. Covered extremely well, but still covered. Sub-Zero Agents were made to know how their fellow agents disguised themselves. They were put through numerous tests:recognition, field application, field replication, and other such tests. So it was a combination of that and Nick's background with women that made him guess that Nick was hurting her.
Well, that and the fact that Jack had gone on so many stealth ops with Ryder that he could immediately tell when she was bruised, even when disguised.
He clenched the canteen in his hand, nearly putting cracks through it. He sips more of his water and is about to go put his fist through Nick's face when Lily and Aaron, freshly promoted Master Sergeants, come up behind him and stop him. Lily puts a hand on his shoulder and Aaron just shakes his head. It wasn't worth it. Jack clenches his fist once more, then walks away to work on the Charger. He considered taking his platoon with him for training, but decided against it. They needed this night off. He'd train em hard tomorrow.

Ryder almost giggled hysterically when Nick collapsed into unconsciousness. Feeling a literal grip on her break. She was free till morning... Morning... Don't think about it. She takes an unsure step foreword then after being certain he was out cold on the couch she turned and made a bee line toward the door. The cool air felt cool against her tender skin. Tears streamed down her face silently and she pulled her hair up into a ponytail. Taking a momment to herself while she was alone, So she thought, under the dim light of the repair warehouse. She allowed herself to feel the pain of her injuries and reflect on how bad she was... She had done something wrong,"What did I do..." She whimpers.

Working on the Charger alone, Jack checks up on its maintenance. He goes through a full systems check and a physical inspection, cleaning places where it had gotten grime built up from use. He takes the time to reflect on the day. How he had possibly made conditions for Ryder worse with Nick.

Ryder hears a clank inside the warehouse. Her ears shot up not expecting anyone to be inside. She expected a squirrel to be caught and she'd free it. She walked over to the warehouse. "Ryder!!!!" Se heard her drunken boyfriend yell. She shivered maybe she could hide here for a while. She sniffled and wiped a tear that fell on her arm and walked inside and closed the door. She glanced around and walked inside seeing Ryland she froze before composing herself and shook er head vigorously to attempt to cover he red puffy eyes and bruised teary face she saluted him weakly,"I'm sorry sir... I just.. Heard a noise.. And thought..." She stammered hearing Nick yell again he was far off he probably didn't even leave... Hopefully e won't. She flinched again down casting her eyes.

She relaxed herself stepping forward a bit drifting toward the darker area of te dim light running her hand in the charger metal and pretense to focus on reading an inscription in the side thy just said,'Charger' "Who did what to me, Sir?" She asks carefully. Remembering her story for this time she said,"Oh I guess you heard about Peter Rodgers. He is way above my leage but I challenged him anyway." She says rubing a bruise on her arms and manages to force a chuckle. She didn't realize that Jack knew she couldn't lie to him while looking into his eyes. She continued to trace the incription focusing her gaze there. "You know I can't do much when I get caught, I wasn't able to dance around him. He's too fast. He was nice enough to calla draw, sir." She lied in a shaking voice partly from the pain. Partly from the lie.

More distant and slurred this time. He was heading the opposite way.. Toward his room. She flinched as he rose his hand toward her.
She shook her head and forced a toothy grin exposing a canine that had been knocked out but we as growing back halfway,"You know part of my abilities is to heal quickly scars that look old are actually recent." She stammers hesitating,"I don't know what your thinking."

Catherine tried to bite back her tears to no avail whee opened her mouth to speak but she just felt pain flare in her body because she knew the price of telling,"I... I can't.. I'll get hurt..." She whimpers sliding dowim against the wall hugging her knees against her chest shivering hiting her face," please don't make me tell ." She cries,"He'll kill me... I was bad. I deserved it . I deserved to be punished." She pleads.

She looked at him for a few seconds before shovering and she nodds slowly,"He does hur-" the main door slams open to the ware house and she cringes as Nick staggers into the door. She quickly leaps to hide behind the Charger. Nick inhales,"You do know I can smell your blood from miles away, my love." He says swishing his reptilian tail slowly. "Might aswell come out now andale it easier for yourself. Taking your beating now for being naughty will allow you to heal faster." He says looking inside of a cabnet,"Kitty cat.. Where are you..." He says not noticing Jayden at this momment and spotting Cathrine he raises his tail to strike her,"Didn't I tell you to STAY PUT!"

"Ahem"Jack coughs loudly enough to catch the drunkards attention.
"Lieutenant, I would consider your next decision very carefully."he says, walking slowly towards him. He cracked his knuckles and lined up his first shot, knowing that in his drunken state, he was likely to attack him. Good. He was counting on it.

"Hmm..." Nick says twitching his tail,"How interesting..." He slurrs turning his head to focus one eye on Jack and the other on Catherine. He grinned as he felt thick scales pop up over his skin and turned completely toward him. Catherine eyed the gun and gasped,"No! No you can't hurt him..." She says standing up and rushing to stand infront.
"And tell him why not." He demands. She heisitate and he grabs her wrists with his tail and twists hearing a crack and she yelps," He's having an offspring!" She says looking down,"I'm having a child..." She says,"You can't hurt him..." She says softly.
He releases her wrist and pushes her roughly to the side and she hits the charger and crumples down onto the ground. He stalks toward him and gets into his face,"You can't touch me. Or your girl will never ever speak to you again. Yes I abuse that whore of yours. And when I take her she screams for you when she is unconscious when she should be screaming my name. It pisses me off so I beat and rape her sommore untill she shuts up. And she lets me because she enjoys the pain." He says grinning,"Now move out my way!"

He cracks his knuckles, grinning."I'm afraid I cant do that Nick." he holsters his weapon and takes up defensive position, slightly spreading his legs apart and tensing minutely.
"3 infractions Nick." he says slowly."Injuring a fellow soldier when not in training, abuse of a consensual partner, and insubordination. MP's will be here in about 8 minutes. You and me though? We'll be done before that."
He unclips the holster and lets it fall to the floor, kicking it away.
"Oh, 4 actually" he adds."Insemination. How were you going to deal with that, Nick? They watch us. The candidates, the recruits, the NCO's. And us."
Jack checks his COM. 7 minutes.
"If you got a problem with me,, Nick, you better take care of it now."

Do you honestly think Lash would "rescue" her from that laboratory So Cat could fight in the army? Look a her! She is fast and venomous but that's it. If someone gets a hold of her pinky in battle she is dead. No... Lash wanted the same thing that Lab wanted. Lash ants what Catherine was created for... To BREED! Catherine was created to be the ultimate egg donor and you know it . Surprisingly she is a fantastic tracker and strategist but that's all mute point. Then you got in the way. And Lash pretended to look the other way hoping you'd do the job yourself. But you were to callous to do it so when you offered to Earase her memory it was god sent. Lash ordered me to do the job myself under any cicumstances. Now. Watch as our 8.. Er 6,minutes are up and nobody comes rushing through the door. Because Lash knows. Lash only saved her to prevent the lab from getting a weapon. Now Lash will get the weapon." He says crossing his arms,"I don't need to hurt you. I have and will hurt you through /her/." He spits. "I've got my revenge. It's hilarious when she yells out " Jack you promised!" When she is unconcious.. Guess you broke your promise to protect her didn't you.. Shame.. Now she is with a real man."

Jack shrugs, unsuprised.
"You know, that theory, and it is a theory mind you, had Lash not told me of the exact plot you just described." Jack waits for that fact to sink in.
"Yes, Nick, the plot he said, would deter you from figuring out his true intention. Which, in case you haven't guessed, was to route you out. Seeing your record as spotty, the Commanding General did what he thought was best. Use me to trick you."he says matter of factly."See Nick, let me tell you why you're wrong. The MP's ARE coming, because the General doesn't like you Lieutenant. And, well, you know how I feel." he adds with a humorless chuckle."So, for the trouble you've been given him, he decided to thread the needle twice. Sorry Nick, this is either your last night alive or your last night out of the hospital. Depends on you. 5 minutes."

Catherine was mildly conscious choosing to lie still to prevent further harm. She opened her eyes slowly in the corner before whimpering,"So you let this happen to me..." She says a bit groggily after a momment of silence. She lapses into unconsciousness
"So... Whoes the bad guy now!" He says after a momment to let that sink in and shred his heart,"I thought I was cruel.. But you... Knowingly let me neglect and impregnant her..." He says shaking his head twitching his tail before twitching. He refused to make the first move. He wanted him to suffer over his decision... He wanted this fact to sink in and rip him apàrt. He wanted Jack to be enraged to the point of a murderous rampage... So he waits. He leans against the wall,"Wow... No wonder you let her go so easily."
